2 of Swords: Are You Being Wishy-Washy?

2 of Swords Tarot Card

2 of Swords Tarot Card: Make Up Your Mind

Sometimes, you have to just make up your mind. You have to commit to one thing or the other. It does no good to sit on the fence being wish-washy. Commit to decision, and stick with it! If somebody asks you a question that they need an answer to, give them one! Try not to be like this figure in the 2 of Swords tarot card. Look how they are keeping their self closed off with two swords in their hands. This person is keeping people away. They are not opening up and being communicative. Try not to be that way. Don’t push other people away when they need something from you. Be open and honest. If they ask you a question and you don’t have an answer, just say you don’t have the answer. Don’t make them guess if you know what you are talking about or not. The 2 of Swords piece of you may want to push others away, but try to resist that. Sometimes people really do need to know what you think and what you know. Don’t let the 2 of Swords keep them from hearing you. If you have a decision to make, make it! Commit to it! Don’t say one thing one minute, and another thing the next. Stick to you decision! — Jim Larsen

2 of Pentacles: Can you rethink priorities?

2 of Pentacles

2 of Pentacles Tarot Card: Juggling Resources

The 2 of Pentacles tarot card reminds us that sometimes, we need to juggle our resources. We need to be able to see ahead to predict what elements we will need to shift towards what things we are trying to keep afloat. This takes intuition as well as intellect. We don’t want anything to fall, but we don’t always have all we need at the same time to keep everything going at once. In these times, life becomes a juggling act. Just like the figure in the 2 of Pentacles tarot card seen here, we must be constantly on the move to keep our resources open and available to the multitude of things we need them for.

While doing this, we may have to let one element suffer for the sake of another. All we can do is accept this as a part of life and work to create a more equal balance so that life isn’t such a balancing act. In time, this juggling act can get easy as we get used to it, but ideally, it would be nice to get far enough ahead to not need to feel the worry of the constant shifting of resources. This may require a rethinking of priorities. This is one thing that the 2 of Pentacles is suggesting to you- consider what truly are your priorities. — Jim Larsen

7 of Pentacles: Waiting for Good Things

7 of Pentacles Tarot Card

7 of Pentacles Tarot Card: Waiting for the Good Things

Here is something you may not already know- the quote “Good things come to those who wait” was originally penned by English poet, Lady Mary Montgomerie Currie, using the pseudonym Violet Fane. It was in a poem titled, Tout vient a qui sait attendre. This poem had nothing to do with tarot cards, but it is easy to imagine her writing this about the 7 of Pentacles when she penned that line. Look at the guy in this card. He is the picture of patience. He is waiting, waiting, patiently waiting for his garden to be ready to harvest. Sure, he could pick it all right now, but if it is not fully matured, isn’t he just wasting it? It needs to be ripe before it is any good.

This will take time, just like all things worthwhile do. Gardens and crops take the time they need to grow, just like all things, including the brilliant ideas you may have. Don’t expect things you want to happen to do so overnight, and don’t rush them. Give them the time they need and them happen in their own time. As long as you are mindful of your ideas and provide them what they need to be actualized, you will have nothing to worry about. Just be patient like this guy in the 7 of Pentacles tarot card. –Jim Larsen
